Purchased for a small addition I built to smoke cigars in. Just recently started using it so I haven't had a chance to use the cooling function but I'm it works as intended. But the reason I chose the cooling +heat unit was for the heat. It does work well enough but there are flaws. It doesn't work if it's too cold, it just won't turn on. It will randomly kick off and the sleep indicator will blink. Have to wait 5-15 minutes to turn it back on. The remote is nice but you really have to point it at the unit just right or it won't work. With all that said I get it's supplemental heat but for near 600 I was expecting it to work a tad better in regards to going from 40° to 68°. But it won't turn on unless it's around d 50° in the room. I wish I had photos but I'm not much of a photo taker sorry to any of the visually review readers out there.

We struggled to find an air conditioner that was accessible for our art studio and cost effective. This fit the bill - it does the job and we didn™™t have to haul and install a window unit (on the 4th floor over an alleyway- imagine the bang when that fell out!). After 4 years of sweltering in the summer and cutting our hours, we now have a very comfortable space and can say ™oh, is it hot and humid outside? I didn™™t realize!™ Love it. I have had this unit about a year. It barely cools off 200 square feet. It will not run consistently. It shuts on and off on cool mode. It is extremely annoying to hear it go on and off while you are sleeping. Lately, it keeps giving a P1 error and needs to be drained daily. I reached out to customer service and they said there is nothing they can do as it™™s been a day over a year for the warranty. Do yourself a favor and do not buy this unit.

Live in an older house with no heat or A/C so always have HVAC needs. Bought a smaller Frigidaire portable A/C fir my daughter™™s dorm room in college. After she graduated the A/C came home and was used in the living room to supplement an older window unit. Bought this 14,000 btu portable Frigidaire to upgrade the other and have been very pleased so far. It does pull a lot of moisture out if the air so proper drainage is necessary.

Has to be emptied when on AC mode despite what the manual states. We bought two at the same time. One unit smelled badly for weeks. One unit overflowed and saturated the floor after being on for 7 hours while we were out. Ruined the floor. At times it will beep and need to be drained and a hour later it'll beep again... only to drain a very small amount. Very unpredictable with when it needs to be drained and not realistic to not have it on when you're not home. It is not efficient and often the air is cooled but leaves a heavy wet feeling at the same time. Somewhat loud. Haven't tried the heat or dehumidifier options. Only can suggest buying if window unit isn't an option and you're able to be home with it to be sure it is drained as needed.

The unit works very well--quietly and quickly cooling both the family room and kitchen. The only difficulty we encountered during installation was insertion of the tube into the window sliding unit. The manual offered no illustration or instruction, making it a frustrating half hour to get it in the slider and getting the clips to engage.

I had purchased the Frigidaire 3-in-1 Heat/Cool (14,000 BTU) to cool my garage space that is ~ 825 sqft. located in the Houston area (extra humid). The unit has held the area between 78-80 degrees and did not know what to expect since the unit is undersize for the area. That stated, day 3 of me using Frigidaire 3-in-1 Heat/Cool (14,000 BTU) unit, I have been pleasantly surprised on at least making the area comfortable. I am going to install installation on my garage doors and looking to see how to maximize the Frigidaire 3-in-1 Heat/Cool (14,000 BTU) unit. I have not used the heat pump, so no feedback on this feature.

It has performed perfect so far but it takes up too much space in the room. 30 some inches from the wall is not very good, there should be one 90 deg. elbow to bring it closer to the wall or have the cold supply come out the top of the unit. Also the connection to the window outlet is very flimsy and the tabs that hold the hose are not holding up the weight of the hose and have fallen off a few times. Bad Engineering. Please reply....

I have not had this unit very long, but it seems pretty good. It is still wintertime here, so right now I am only using the heat part. My normal heat is baseboard electric. This unit heats the room in half the time. I used to have a different brand of portable heat pump and this Frigidaire is quieter. If it proves to be reliable, I will be very happy.

PROS: I use the Frigidaire - 3-in-1 Heat/Cool Portable Room Air Conditioner 14,000 in a large bedroom that is at the end of my HVAC system, so this room was always the hottest in the house. Now it's the coolest as this Frigidaire portable keeps the space very comfortable. It stays at around 76 degrees 24/7 for the last 5 days and very impressed so far. This unit did come with everything you need to install, sort of (keep reading). CONNS: It does not have Wi-Fi, phone app, nor Alexa capability like most other portables today have?!? When it turns on it dims the lights as the compressor kicks on, and there are some odd sounds coming from the lower unit when running. I don't like the 1-year warranty, however, most any of these units are the same. I have a Del Longi portable in a converted garage/rec room that's twice the size of my bedroom that is over 12 years old and still cools a 650 SF space in the summer! I hope for at least half that performance of this Frigidaire...time will tell how well it performs and last in central Florida summers. NOTE on installation: Manufactures of all these portables need to come up with better window kits, not nearly enough insulation and the plastic window insert needs to be to be insulated a well. I used R-Tech Insulating Sheathing between the window kit and outside to further seal the areas that the kit will NOT protect form the Florida heat/humidity.

This was purchased to replaced another unit of a different brand we had have for years and this Frigidaire was so much better. The other unit that finally stop working we had to turn the temp to 72 to warm the room and this Frigidaire we had to put the temp on 62 because it warmed so well that 72 was extremely warm for the room. I am glad I got this brand.

Purchased just in case of a hurricane and power outage however my central A/C decided it would stop working instead due to age (over 24 years). Set up the portable A/C unit and behold, A/C. The unit has been working continuously for approx 3 weeks with no problems. It has kept me cool and comfortable during the month of August, the hottest month, until the central unit was replaced. The noise level is about what you would expect and I had to purchase a coupler and additional hose to due to the layout of my house. Even with the additional 6ft hose it still cools fantastically. I highly recommend this unit.
