Extended warranties are usually very inexpensive and can save you thousands in the future. Some can even cover extra costs that result, such as cost of food that spoils when your fridge dies. It's simple and inexpensive to purchase extended warranties and one of the smartest ways to protect your investment.

Appliances can be large, heavy and expensive. You probably don't have the special tools or expertise needed to fix them in a crisis. If you can spare a few thousand dollars without batting an eyelash for new appliances should they break tomorrow, don't buy a warranty. But if you're like most of us, protect yourself by purchasing inexpensive extended warranties when you buy a new product and save yourself big money in the long run.

Worked well...until it didn't

Bought this model via special order at Lowes in 2016. Very quiet and cleaned very well. But in September 2021, it developed an E15 Watertap fault. The appliance repair company I used could never seem to diagnose where the leak originated, and no matter how many parts they replaced, the fault always returned. So, under 6-years old, and I will have to replace it, and that may or may not be with another Bosch. Should have lasted longer, IMHO.

Very disappointing dishwasher

We have had problems since we first purchased this dishwasher back in 2013 with the bottom rack falling off the track when pulling in and out. This worsens as the load gets bigger/heavier. We did have a service person out who said there was nothing wrong with it! Also the rinse-aid compartment broke after about 2 years so we have not been able to use it. The latest thing is the door hinge is knackered and on opening just slams all the way open. You have to make sure you are out of the way or hold it and control its descent otherwise you will get a nasty bruise! We splurged when we got this as we thought Bosch was top of the range. We feel so let down.
