ASCENTA DISHWASHER

THIS MAY BE THE WORST APPLIANCE I EVER BOUGHT. I BOUGHT BOSCH BECAUSE OF THEIR REPUTATION AND THE ENDORSEMENT BY CONSUMERS REPORT BUT REPUTATION HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS MACHINE. IT'S ERGONOMICALLY HORRIBLE. THERE ARE NO INDICATORS SHOWING WHETHER OR NOT THE DISHWASHER IS RUNNING DURING THE WASH CYCLES. THAT BEING THE CASE UNFORTUNATELY, SOMEONE HAS OPENED THE DOOR WHILE THE WASH CYCLE WAS IN PROGRESS. DOESN'T IT MAKE SENSE THAT A LED OR SOME INDICATOR SHOULD BE VISIBLE FROM THE OUTSIDE IF A CYCLE IS IN PROGRESS? THE INTERIOR DESIGN IS AN ABSOLUTE JOKE. LOADING THE TRAYS AND UTENSIL HOLDERS IS JUST AS BAD. WHEN YOU SLIDE THE BOTTOM TRAY OUT TO LOAD IT, THE TRAY COMES OFF THE TRACK MOST OF THE TIME. THE UTENSIL HOLDER ALSO REQUIRES THE BOTTOM TRAY BE PULLED OUT TOO; AGAIN THE TRAY COMES OFF THE TRACK. UNLESS YOU LOAD THE ENTIRE MACHINE ALL AT ONCE, THIS THING IS NOTHING BUT BOTHERSOME. I CANNOT ARGUE ABOUT THE ACTUAL WASHING OF DISHES AND UTENSILES. IT DOES A GOOD JOB AND I HAVEN'T BEEN DISSAPOINTED WITH IT'S CLEANING PERFORMANCE. IT ALSO IS VERY QUIET WHEN IN OPERATION WHICH AGAIN SUPPORTS THE IDEA OF THE NEED FOR AN OUTSIDE INDICATOR WHEN THE DISHWASHER IS IN THE MIDDLE OF WASHING DISHES. THE OPERATION OF THE SETTINGS IS ANYTHING BUT INTUITIVE. TRYING TO CHANGE A SETTING, TIMER OR START FUNCTION IS A MYSTERY. GOOD LUCK TRYING TO FIGURE THAT OUT. THOUGHT I WAS STEPPING UP WHEN I REPLACED MY WHIRLPOOL BUT HUGE MISTAKE. NEVER BUYING BOSCH AGAIN.
