On Friday morning, my wife walked into my home office while I was on a conference call to tell me that our refrigerator was dead. I figured she was exaggerating. She was not - it was dead. Really dead. Panic ensued, as we only have a backup freezer and not an extra refrigerator. We also have a young son, so going an extended period without a working refrigerator was a non-starter.We started calling around to everywhere we could think of - big box stores, local, etc. Everyone was quoting us delivery windows of 4-6 weeks out. Enter Jim and the team from Metropolitan Appliance to save the day.We called Metropolitan Appliance during the early afternoon Friday. My wife explained our situation, gave him the measurements we could support, and asked for his opinion. Jim gave us his honest opinion about three potential options - GE, KitchenAid, or Bosch unit. He also told us that if we picked something in-stock, it could be delivered as soon as Monday! We chose a 23 cu ft KitchenAid unit which also happened to still be on Black Friday special. We gave Jim a credit card over the phone and within an hour, my wife had a text confirming our Monday 12/9 delivery window between 10:45am and 12:45pm.Fast forward to Monday at 11am and the Metropolitan Appliance truck was pulling up our driveway. David and Mauricio (apologies if I spelled your name wrong!) made quick work of hauling away our old refrigerator and then very carefully brought the new one in. They each treated my home and our new refrigerator with the utmost care - as if this was their home and their new refrigerator. Before leaving, they hooked up our water line, installed the filter, installed all of our shelving, and cleaned the unit from top-to-bottom. At least it would get to look brand new for a few hours until my son gets home from school, right?Metropolitan Appliance has earned a customer for life and we'll be referring everyone we can think of. Hopefully we won't be needing a refrigerator again anytime soon!We cannot thank Jim, David, and Mauricio enough for their help.

All the store staff members were so helpful. I thought we had a weird order with lots of coordination needed. They were always ready to provide specs, recommendations and work with our requests. Special thanks to Skyler and Charlotte!The best part of the experience however, was the installation crew. I've had several Home Depot installation experiences where the crew obviously just wants to get done as quickly as possible with the least amount of effort. Don't get me wrong, HD installers get the job done but it doesn't seem like they care. Maybe that's why we were so impressed by the Metropolitan Appliance team. Their installers walked us through how they were going to get the job done, they were very detailed and efficient, and lastly they went over how the appliances operate. It made me feel more valued as a customer. They were top notch!

Special shout-out to Ryan W.! I bought my W&D from him, he is super knowledgeable and answered my calls/answer my MANY emails straight away. He followed up w/ the delivery team to ensure everything was installed correctly. It's so hard to find a company that actually cares about their customers! If you need appliances, skip every other store out there and go immediately to Metropolitan Appliance! Their sales team is knowledgeable and patient, delivery/install teams are professional and personable, and customer service follow up is amazing. One appliance came with a small dent in the door, and they were immediately attentive to getting that replaced, plus they've answered all my little questions with patience and good humor.

Knowledgeable salesmen and install techs. The salesmen asked me questions about the existing system to ensure things went smoothly on delivery day, and the install techs were able to deal with all the trouble we ran into (a pipe in an inconvenient position prevented their preferred install position, but they talked it through with me and figured out a way forward.)
